I've been hunting waterfowl in OR for years but haven't hunted big game since I left the East coast nearly 20 years ago.

Reading this forum has piqued my interest again. I'm looking to get into some backcountry hunting for deer/elk this coming season in eastern OR.

I have tons of backpacking experience but I need to translate that into hunting. I'm hoping I can find some help from you guys.
