I started with a Kifaru 14'r & still have it. Then added Reckoning/26" frame. Last season added a 22mag 2nd gen. Love the 22Mag for daypack/1night, the Reckoning for multi days 3-7. Quality materials, workmanship, design and function really stands out. Huge difference compared Eberlestock, Badlands packs that I used prior years before 2013.

but if could only get one pack... I like the looks, setup of that 44mag pack.

Got a 44mag a few months ago and have been been putting it through some stuff. I really like it. Beauty of kifaru is you can attach stuff to get more space if needed. I got a don't shoot me/find my pack after a stalk orange Sherman for it.

Already ripped a small hole in the bottom. Not sure how, but I take it through some rough stuff. Probably will just put some tenacious tape on it.

I have the 22 mag gen 2 and love it. 20/20 hindsight, I might have gotten the 44 mag but I can do 6 days out of the 22 mag and that’s good enough for me. With work I’m lucky to string together 4 days at a time. I think you’ll be very happy with the 44.

Wow! How are you able to get 6 days out of the 22 mag?!? Do you not eat lol? Spike camp with a tarp and bag only?

You must have a Native or Bane pack on the 22Mag for 6 days. Even then, I can’t get more than 3 days worth of food and gear into the 22Mag and Native. That’s using the bottom 4” of exposed 26” frame to hold the tent too.

Love the orange Sherman! Nice set up.

Good thread. I've been contemplating changing from the Mtn Warrior to the 44MAG. I don't see me doing any more than 4 nights without a trip back to the truck anyhow and like the organization.

I hunted with the original Longhunter for years before picking up the 44 Mag last year. 2 hunts with it and a few backpacking trips and a lot of miles carrying a sandbag for training. I like the organization and it's plenty big for what I use it for.

Just got back from a scouting trip, did about 9 miles with 55lb in my new 44mag and duplex frame. I was really impressed with how it distributed the weight and how comfortable and secure it felt. I would recommend it 100%

Best news all day! Just got my Kifaru hip quiver yesterday and it is impressive, every post make me feel even better about my 44MAG ORDER. Thanks again for the feedback!

How are you guys packing out game with the 44 mag? is there some sort of shelf? does it detach from the frame?
