I picked up a used Tikka T3 for a good deal with the thought of just using the action for a tight quarters, low recoil, 20” barrel project. Well this thing just happens to have a 21” barrel chambered in 260 Remington. So if it’s a shooter I’ll probably just keep it that way.

It’s definitely not a factory barrel and there are no markings other than 260 REM which look to be done by a smith. The barrel is Cerekoted black so maybe it’s covered?

The factory stock has been modified to fit the larger base of the barrel and the crown is a little different than some. Other than that I got nothing.

Does it look familiar to anyone?

Someone with a borescope might be able to tell you a little more. See how many grooves it has and maybe if it's button or cut rifled. Still it's probably impossible to tell who made it unless you found the original gunsmith and he remembers it.

Yeah I guess its obviously not a drop in. It seems to be a 1:8.5 twist, very excited to see how it shoots.

If someone took the effort and cost of having a custom barrel put on and Cerakoted, I bet it will shoot great
