Hello everyone, long time lurker here. I am in the process of upgrading my hunting rig. Waiting for a Bergara B14 Ridge Wilderness 18" .308 to go along with my new Nomad 30. I am looking for a lightweight scope that excels in low light clarity. I hunt in woods and some roads with 350 yd. max shots. I am not looking for adjustable turrets as most shots are 200-250 yards max. My budget is around $1500 and I think I have narrowed it down to these 4 choices. I currently have a Zeiss Duralyt 3-12x50 and I'm not super impressed with it. Thanks for the help and if anyone is selling any of the below please let me know. I have like a week and 8 more posts before I can respond to PM's.

Leupold VX6 3-15x50 firedot or VX5
Swaro Z5i 2.4-12x50 Plex or Z6
S&B Klassik 3-12x50 LM L3
Leica Amplus 6 2.5-15x50i 4A

Leupold VX-5HD 2-10x42 fire dot duplex should do.

Or you might consider a Trijicon Creedo HX 1-6x24 for a great short range option.

Out to 350 yards you‘d be fine with a 3-9x.

Try reading this subforum for info on scope reliability and durability:

Of what you listed, the Klassik would be good.

Trijicons are solid. Here is one for sale here.

Of your choices, I have experience with the VX5, VX6, Z6, and Amplus 6.

And of those, I'd say the Z6 is best, followed by the Amplus 6. I don't doubt the S&B would serve well.

Also, I'm a Trijicon fan, and they have a few in your price range that I'm sure you'd be happy with.

Don’t have any experience with the other scopes but it’s hard to beat the leupold vx-5hd fire dot 3-15. Best scope I ever used.
