My recommendation is get the HPG bag for $45 and the Bikini frame. Later on you can add a bigger bag for western hunting. If you need more space add the Terra Pocket for $55 from HPG.
But I will say the HPG bag is just a bag with zero organization. If you truely want just a day hunt pack and to keep long term costs down then I would do this:
Bikini frame
E&E
35L dry sack
Make your own lash straps.
The E&E has amazing organization capabilities and the lash straps will allow you to lash anything down. Plus the E&E is a great day pack in itself but for only carrying day hunt items.
I think the E&E is $100 or something so with that and a bikini you will be about $75 over budget, then later on save up and get one of the big bags. Lash straps are cheap to buy and cheaper to make.
