You guys in general aren't giving this buck credit imo. I think he goes over 180" gross.

Here is a fun one that I have a score sheet on. Let the guesses fly.

I'll send PM's to those that guess...

206"?

The only way I can estimate any animal is comparing it to the few knowns that I have in my memory bank, then adding or subtracting based on notable differences.

Mine are 10000% guesses, what I think I see on the OP buck is that I think it is thin, and has shallow forks. Non typicals with a bunch of kickers get hard I think.

I have an official BC scorer's sheet on this buck my dad shot this past season. My SWAG 30min after death was within 1/2". I'll share via PM whoever wants to know.

I think the most important thing about a "trophy" buck is that it has attributes the hunter likes. Some like mass, some like width, some like trash, some like color, some like deep forks, some like length...I don't know many people who wouldn't shoot at 160" of buck, but to hit that number and not 180", there has to be compromises on that score sheet.

My first and only is a 160 inch buck. 25 inch spread. I would not pass on a 160 or better - ever.

That buck is a shooter whatever he measures.

I can't even make an educated guess on this picture alone. It looks like he as at least one and possibly two in line's... An extra in line could add an easy 8-12" on a gross score. Need more pictures

@Op

Good fronts make up for bad backs, looks virtually identical, down to the width and mass, to a 182" typical my uncle shot.

I'd guess with extras he's pushing 190".

@Laramie

I'm gonna guess 206".

For the buck I originally posted about, does mass affect score much? I meant what I said when I claimed to have very little knowledge about scoring lol
