Hi guys, for my next DIY sewing project, I would like to make a belt similar to a Duplex belt with the large padded wings. Can anyone tell me what kind of foam padding material would be most similar to what Kifaru uses, and where to source it? My guess is McMaster-Carr has different foam padding to choose from. but I am looking to see if anyone has already experimented and settled on a particular foam application.

Any help appreciated!

The blue mats that REI sells (I believe the REI branded ones) are a very nice EVA foam that makes great belts. Probably need 2-3 layers of it depending on taste, but its a cheap way to get enough foam for several projects. WAY better then your standard blue foam mat.

Thanks you! That's a good idea and I actually have one of those blue mats.
