Vaseline soaked cotton balls or face cleaning pads. My other go to are the wax cubes Webber Grills sell. They cut easily into smaller pieces and light easy.

I use Instafire , Vaseline cotton balls or fatwood . It just depends . Fatwood is hard to beat

Kevin,

Which fatwood do you use? I've had issues lighting some brands that I've tried for my barbeque. Made me avoid it for camping use.

Honestly, just what ever is at my local True Value. I toss in a few sticks if I don't want to mess much with a fire or I expect it to be nasty. I've never had much problem with them. You can find it in the forest pretty easily , or at least a sappy tree sometimes. I also have robbed Charcoal out of old fires nearby as well
