No problem, go to the old penitentiary there is a dirt lot at the trail head. There is a website ridges to rivers that has a map of all the trails in the foothills area.

Need to get an understanding of the mountain terrain. Can only do so much back home in Michigan so trying to take advantage while I’m here for work.

Definitely do Table Rock, but sneak out to Cervidae if you can. In my experience, off-trail adds a whole other degree of difficulty. Cervidae can't be classified as fully off-trail, but it's closer than Table Rock. It should get you a better idea of what you're looking at in season.

Back in town for work and willing to hike around Boise in evenings with any other folks getting in shape for elk season.

Prefer no serial killers.

Thanks

LOL! I'm here in Boise, wish I had the time to join you bud!

ElkNut/Paul

Let me know if things change! Here this week and for two weeks in July.

Would be good timing since I just finished the rich outdoors podcast with you on it!

Had a great time at table rock and camels back.

Other suggestions for when I’m back in a few weeks?
