Good info-in my experience hand loaded ammo is much more consistent in regards to MV than factory ammo. A recent 5 shot string with hand loads for my .300 win mag had an extreme spread of about 40 FPS. While factory Hornady eld-x for my 6.5 cm had an extreme spread of over 120 fps. Reading this info has got me wanting to get some larger sample sizes. I think with factory ammo, even high quality brands, it would be tough to be accurate at longer ranges if the muzzle velocity variation is really that great. That being said my string with the Hornady factory ammo out of the 6.5 cm could be an isolated case. Will have to shoot another string and see.
