Does anyone have an archery range set up other than a target out in the back yard? Moving soon and would like to build a nice covered area to
shoot from like at our local range with various yardages etc. let’s see photos.

I have different areas. I have a range setup in my woods. I have a large outdoor bag target, as well as a few other layered targets. Nice flat spot, can shoot out to 150 yards. Also have 3-d targets scattered throughout. I can shoot 20 yards in one of the barns. That's under lights, something to do in the winter when days are short.

I think the best thing for most is a simple lean-to roof off of something or a back porch. Gives you coverage in rain and light. It's pretty easy anymore to have a powerful floodlight mounted shining outward to light up a target.



Setup in the woods. I find that I like shooting in the shade. The sun coming into your peep at different angles plays with your sight picture.



This is a setup I have done in the barn shooting outside. This is with the shooting machine but there is a haybale backstop with a broadhead target in front of it. With this setup I can turn on a outside light and see the haybale at 65 yards. Can shoot from inside the barn. Think it's a different situation but the idea can be used with any kind of out building.

Growing up my dad built a structure to hang a few target bags from, and we would shoot either from the raised back porch or from around the side of the house. We also had about 20 yards in the basement set up for when the weather was gross

I can get 30 yards if I get creative, but luckily I live 5 minutes from a private 3D range and 5 minutes from a public park that has a small archery range. I’m about 2 blocks from my archery shop.
