And just like that the hairs from a million 28 Nosler asses hit the floor. ;-)

Love Broz
I don’t think so. You know they’re going to come out with a .284 atip that’s going to be great. Either way we all win.

That was a joke, but funny because it is true to a degree. If they prove to be all that is stated, I do hope they make all the calibers. But it is not set in stone. So far only the 6's and 6.5's are in production.

I guess it's time to decide what I'm going to build with my 1/8 twist barrel. I'm leaning toward the 300 rum like Ryan went with.

On the 153gr 6.5 the G1 and G7 are not much improved over the 147gr ELD-M for the 6.5.

Is that slight increase in G7: .351 ELDM to .355 Atip going to make a substantial difference especially if the price is double for them. Think the G1 diff is .697 vs .704.

Wonder what the length difference will be?

No, it wont. But they are claiming the tip and design will provide more consistent extreme spread in BC numbers. All bullets have a ES in BC. When not consistent, the result is vertical dispersion at long shot distances. We test this by recording actual point of impacts matched with individual shot velocity. It is real and it matters. Longer the shot, more it matters. Cutting Edge Lazer line up have been among the best for this and the reason you see so many ELR matches won with them. In fact it was Cutting Edge that has been developing this and advertising it for years now. In the long range game, a big BC is only great if all the bullets in the box share similar numbers.

They said the same thing about about the ELD-M. So did Berger about their target bullets. It’s obvious they can’t be trusted:)

Keep on hunting with those hunting bullets. I’m going to stick to the killing bullets. Plus it leaves more target bullets for me.

Got to see the 6mm 110 grain this weekend and even shot a few from a full competition rig chambered in brx. We were messing around at a shoot and seen a rock on a rock wall no bigger than a softball, the gun owner gave me dial up and a wind guess, 1st shot was about 6" left, next two were easily with in 2" of eachother on the small rock at over 1000 yards. Would be very interesting to see these on game.

Initial indications of 135's in a 6.5 SAUM are looking very good. I hope to validate this coming weekend

Pic is of 135 Berger classic hunter next to a 135 A Tip. Both seated 0.020” off the lands for my rifle.

Interested to hear about that combination (6.5 saum and a tip) wonder how the saum would do with the heavier a tip

Don't know much yet other than they stacked into a ragged hole with some compromised H1000.. I am sheetrocking my basement and they had some humidifiers blasting down there to reduce dust, thinking the H1000 in the chargemaster hopper was impacted because known loads in two rifles were down 70-100 FPS.

My node with current berger 135 hunting load is around 3140 FPS over H1000. I'd be happy with something similar out of the A Tip. Could get faster with RL26 but happy where I'm at. Barrel is a 8.5 Twist and throat is about perfect for the 135 A-Tip so I will likely never try 153s in this barrel.

If you crunch the numbers, the 135 @ 3150 vs 153 @ 3050 are about the same on wind deflection to 1,000 and the 135 is flatter with less recoil.

They do not expand, they fragment. The degree of fragmentation depends on impact velocity of course, but the tip tears the jacket when it penetrates. Initial results show good fragmentation to just below 1,800fps. That was as low as we shot them. Still testing.

I'm getting a 300 PRC built, will be done next year. Very excited to try the 230 grain offering. If they perform well in game it might be the only load I need.

Much appreciated! I'm really curious of the fragmentation in the 1600-1700 fps speed range. The ELD match .30's still work well down to at least the 1500fps range. Looking at the physical designs I sure hope these do to

Bump for updates as we get into rifle seasons!

I only have a MT elk tag and MN whitetail left this year and neither will likely see 6.5 A Tips but im excited to see what results others have.

The 135 atip and the 130 eldm have visually the same jackets (split on a milling machine). Both kill antelope very well out of my 6.5x47.
