I would love to hear options from those of you who hot tent (tipi/box stove) while hunting, backpacking, hiking, and camping. Looking for weight conscious ideas to cook in the stove. Also after my first use/week the pan I bought started to peel...do I need a specific high temp rating type of pan that I can just throw on the stove for use?

this year was Tacos, Scotched Eggs, and some steaks. Looking for help on other easy ideas. If there’s already a solid thread point me in the right direction as my searches didn’t yield the best results.

Thanks all!

Let's see if we can get this going. Have a snowshoe/hot tent weekend coming up. Let's see what's cooking on those stoves!

Was steaks, tacos, and veggies for us. Would love some ideas as well! Also what does everyone use for high heat light weight pan setup. My pan lees after the week lol.

Cant really give you a good answer on which to get, not sure which size mine is.
That pan has been all over the place, fried and baked so much with it its ridiculous.
Little dinged and dented but still going strong.
Make a bag for it, Keeps lid on and quiet and keeps the suet and such off gear in your pack

there is only one flavor pop tart...
brown sugar cinnamon
My 20 year old self would agree, but it's been many years since I've looked at them. Maybe a little too proud too say that. If I buy some I'll have to hide them from my kids to avoid being called out for my hypocrisy. "Can we have some ? No fair. You never let us get them. Everyone else's parents get them and you never do" haaa

VERY INTERESTED in this as well. I actually just posted a reply for the seek outside podcast. I recommended that they create a titanium cooking tray with 2" or so sides... something a tad larger than the stove top so that it nests with the collapsed stove and fits in the stove's bag. Braised shanks on the mountain sound unreal to me!
