Exactly! I hunt harder waking up in a tent I can stand up in, especially w/ a heater and real food, and if I get a wild hair and shoot a big stinky yellow elk it’s one trip out! the list is long @sneakybow

Now that the snow is disappearing, seeing some dead. In a short drive yesterday, saw 4 deer and one elk. SW montana

Not sure of how extensive the winter kill was in SW Colorado, havent got to spend much time out yet. But we had one heck of a winter. I believe we are at 175% snowpack still. As unfortunate as winter kill is, we needed all the moisture we could get.

Like another said, I figured this would have been one of the hottest topics on here. Terrible, extreme weather in the Wyoming, Montana, Dakotas, Nebraska. Lot of animals suffering.

I don't know where in Montana the winter was extreme but it wasn't around where I live (SW Montana). We had far less snow this year than last, it's just that the bigger storms were later in the season than they have been the last few years.
