How do you identify an outfitter?

Not sure if this is even possible. I have researched an area in Wyoming that I would like to hunt and it appears an outfitter has a tent camp in the area. It’s a bit deep for a backpack hunt so I would love to down drop camp or some sort of guided trip in that spot.

Wondering if it’s possible to identify who the permit holder is somehow so I can contact them?

Thanks for any leads.

Contact the forest service if it's in National Forest. Outfitters have specific camps they are permitted to use.

You could also call the local game wardens and ask them who operates in their areas. Then, call those outfitters.

Second on the forest service. If the hunt is in a national forest there are likely only 1-5 outfitters that have a permit to operate in the area. Good luck!
