How long does it take you to get to camp?

Last year, it took us about 5 hours to make it from trailhead to camp which was about 3 miles. Our hunting party carried backpacks weighing from 60 to 70+ pounds and began the hike at 8,600 ft, climbing to around 10,000 ft where we pitched camp. We did make a couple of stops looking for climbing routes for our 4-day hunt. This was the most grueling hunt I have ever had and, to make matters worse, we didn't even see an elk. Next year, we are doing a semi-guided hunt where we can drive to guide-built campsite. I'm an older guy (61 years old) and hopefully this year's hunt will be more fun.
