Another question on hanging meat in the field. I’ll be doing a black tail hunt from a truck in Alaska soon. If I get a buck, is it better to hang the meat over night in the field or better to quarter it up and get the meat straight into a cooler? I will have a cooler handy. I’ll only be out there for a week, and will be freezing the meat in a chest freezer before flying back home.
