String slipped off the Grizzly when in transport ( it was unstrung )

Original brace height when I string it up was 7 7/8ths inches, it shot good so I left it there. When it came time to re-string it was exactly 7 1/2 “, I shot it a few times and it shot good there as well. Manual says brace height is 8.5-7.5”

Is brace height something on a trad bow that is super sensitive or is it more of a “ get it within this range “ type of deal ?

Was it a brand new string when you first got the measurement? I shoot America's Best and don't have any problems with the brace height changing

It may shoot the same with a shorter fistemule but will be louder. Your string stretched. Run her back up to 7.825

Definitely makes a difference outside 3/8" for me. Anything less, I don't notice too much a difference.

Brace height is mostly affecting sound and vibration of the string. It will affect tuning but not as much arrow spine changes or a bad release. Don’t go below the manufacture recommended BH and find a spot that sounds the best and feels the best to you.
