How to wash Kuiu Quix Down

So I bought a Kuiu Quix Down jacket that I absolutely love. It’s been an incredible jacket. Super light and extremely warm. So today I decided to wash it. Direction say wash in warm water and tumble dry medium heat. Don’t use fabric softeners and don’t dry clean. I followed the instructions and all the down is piled up in corners in a ball. So now it just feels like there are knots everywhere. If this $300 jacket is ruined I’m gonna be super sad. Anyone else have this issue? Calling Kuiu in the morning but not sure what they will say.

Throw it in the dryer on low heat with a couple of tennis balls

Tennis balls in the dryer while drying the jacket will help it not clump together.

I only wash down as a last resort... when it stinks to high hell. But I use this when I do.
