I have been lurking for about a year so I figured I would finally create an account. I do post on some Texas hunting sites. I am considering a Western states hunt this year so I will be reading and learning a bunch on this site. I am currently in South Texas where it is 35 degrees and they are contemplating shutting down the town. We are not setup for dealing with cold weather.

Welcome to the site, a lot of good stuff to learn on here. I've got in-laws in west TX, sounds like the weathers kinda crazy down there right now!

Yes Sir, sure is. I was out in West TX a few weeks ago. 2' of snow in the Chisos Mountains of Big Bend. We get snow down this way about once every 30 years.
