Hoyt Venting 33 grip modification

I stippled the grip of the Venting 33. I found this bow to be a joy to shoot. My only compliant was a lack of grip. My hand slide up as I executed my shot. I used a simple wood burning iron with a 90° brass head. The material melted very fast but manageable. When completed I sanded slightly with 400 grit sand paper.

Well, I can't say it's pretty but if it makes it a better shooter that's what matters! I haven't had the issues you're describing with mine, but I did have that issue with the old-style wooden grips on my Defiant Turbo, it was very frustrating!

Most just put the athletic tape on the grip that sticks to itself to increase any friction.

Your way looks just fine too.
