I hear so much about 80lb and limb issues.. I shoot a 50-60 @ 63 lbs hoyt rx4 turbo maxed out and only lose about 10fps from these 80# setups. Don't get it...
This doesn't make any sense. You generally gain (or lose) 20fps for every 10lbs of draw weight added or subtracted. So shooting at 63lbs instead of 80 you'd be shooting ~34fps slower......all other variables remaining constant.I hear so much about 80lb and limb issues.. Or if you just always shoot about 7.5 grains per pound you only loose about 4 fps.
That's what I took from it anyways.
Purchased new? If so that thing would be going straight back to the shop.I'd like peoples opinion on my ventum 33 (60 pound) Just got it yesterday, the box was quite beat up, and upon opening it I've noticed a bunch of scratches and two gouges (one on a limb, one on the riser near the rest). Yet to shoot any arrows, wouldnt mind some opinions regarding the top left limb, and if it is safe to shoot. Cant really tell if the damage is cosmetic or something more serious.

If you understood how it felt to suffer from little man, short draw syndrome you too would have 80’s.Because everyone has to shoot a 600 grain arrow now.
Gotta have horsepower to keep it out of the stickbow lane.
