Purchased this a few weeks ago just to try it out. Its a nice little pack, but I still prefer the Umlimdi for most of my traveling.

There is a small abrasion on the top of the pack, maybe 3/16 of an inch long. It's not a cut, no fabric is seperated. Looks more like a briar snagged the fabric. Although I'm not sure, it was there when I received the pack. I'll show it in photos. Other then that the pack shows no noticable wear. It's been on one outing.

This will come with a set of HPG Ranger Green horizontal straps, and a HPG Pocket framesheet. These items were purchased at the same time as the pack.

So do the horizontal compression straps work well on the junction? Assume they g hook attach to the pack?

I bought them thinking I'd use them on the pack on long hikes to help strap stuff down like trekking poles or fishing rod. In that sense they work fine. But the pack doesn't come with plastic rings around the tabs on the outside so you can't use the horizontal straps the way you do on other packs. Which cause the straps to be long for the pack. So for shorter hikes I'd probably just leave the straps off. If your packing in an extra that can be strapped to the pack, the straps work fine.
