HPG Prairie Belt for ILBE?

I'm looking to change out the waist belt on my USMC ILBE rucksack. I'm a 30'' waist, and the standard issue belt is too large for me.
I've looked at replacing the belt with either HPG Prairie Belt, or the Kifaru Deluxe belt.
I know the HPG belt should fit right on, and the Kifaru belt seems to require some modifications?
If you have any experience with these belts, please provide some suggestions, thanks!

I bought a duplex belt off the classifieds and had pockets for the stays sewn into in like the original ILBE belt has. Works great and much more comfortable.
