I use a Leupold. I do not know which ones to stay away from. I bought the Leupold and have seen no reason to try any others.

I have had a Leica 900, 1000, and now 1600. They are compact accurate and the glass is the best in the industry. There are plenty of other good brands. Hard to pick a bad one these days.

Have a Leica 1000. Love it for the size, simplicity. Lots of good options out there, tough to go wrong.

I use the Leica 2700B rangefinder. It is so amazing and accurate. The really cool thing about it is that you can use it for archery and long range shooting. Has a range of 2700 yards along with an individual Leica ABC® ballistic data input via a built-in microSD card slot. The CRF 2700-B resolution for its range is 10x greater than its predecessor yet still as lightweight, compact, Just plug in your ballistics to your gun and load and it will give you all the info you need for your gun. I would really look into this one for the price as well cant beat it.

Love Leica. Just bought a 1600B to replace my 1000R (wanted the ballistic junk ha). If you want a CRF 1000R I have one I was gonna post in the classifieds or eBay today.

The glass in the Leica's are awesome. I know for a fact that one afternoon hunting whitetail my leica 1000R was better at dark than a Leupol VX-3i 4.5-14 at 7x!
