Archery elk hunters do not call enough, this is why they suffer at finding elk, you gotta bugle!!!!

Sounds like a primos is hosting competition out there already on every ridgetio in Oregon. Seriously. That’s like saying duck hunters and turkey hunters don’t call enough. Is there a more call happy demographic in ANY hunting of any kind than archery elk hunters?

I drive 28 hours solo from Alabama to Idaho to archery hunt elk. This would've been my 4th year. I don't buy a tag until I get there in case I have a breakdown (I don't want a $600+tag/license I can't use). That strategy was a bad one this year.

So, yes I am now headed to CO on sept. 16 and putting a last minute, plan B hunt together. It's stressful but exciting putting together a hunt on the fly. But, yes, I need your CO honey holes.
