Idaho Unit 52 Muzzleloader Mule Deer

I have been looking at different tag applications to put in for 2020 and the 52 Muzzleloader tag looks interested. Does anyone have any experience with this hunt? Just curious how this tag would be compared to the Rifle Tag and what to expect for deer number etc. if drawn for this tag. Feel free to shoot me a PM and would like to hear how this hunt has turned out for people. Thank you.

It was pretty tough last year. Lotsa disappointed folks. Traditionally, it has been a pretty dang good hunt but the deer numbers are way down and quality buck numbers as well. For whatever reason, the opposite was true 15 miles to the west.

I'd definitely give magic valley f and g a call as soon as they open. I spoke with someone there back in january and very helpful. Just have your map ready when they start throwing out drainage. Lol. Muzzleloader short season but right in the rut. Good luck to ya but I'd call as they can help you out a ton.
