For a first time spring spot and stalk hunt, which state provides the best opportunity for glassing and good bear numbers?

Populations seem to be similar, Oregon doesn’t have grizzlies so that’s nice lol.. any input??

Yup I did see that, the coastal area I’m leaning towards if I go that route is a higher odds draw though

The ID vs MT has been asked before with the general consensus being MT over ID due to not having to compete with bait hunters. More grizz in MT if that is a concern.

I hunted sw Oregon this year, got into bears every day in may that was good weather. Pm me and I can help you with Oregon advice. It’s pretty cool because it’s all clear cuts and spot and stalk. I’m assuming you would put in for sw if you did Oregon due to being super low points needed.
