What were you blessed with, (or not so blessed with) physically that you feel holds you back in the mountains? Personally i have the flattest feet ever (according to a foot specialist with 20 years experience). And as you can imagine, it f*****g hurts to hike day after day..Lets hear'em boys

I guess my bad knees are a bi-product of being tall. Having a dirt bike when I was younger didn't help either.

However, I've never had foot problems. That's a blessing.

LOL, good topic for me. I have short, thick, stumpy legs. I always seem to find hunting partners that are built like a stork and can out-hike me like crazy. It's frustrating as hell. But with the bad, comes the good. While I'm not a skinny little dude that can cover ground, you can put 100lb on my back and I'll be able to get it out. Slowly. I'm the tortoise in the race...

I wouldn't trade it though, I'm constantly chasing my inner skinny man by working out and that makes me a better person through suffering. I'm very lucky to have never had any medical issues like knees, back, shoulders, etc.

My hearing. Too ignorant to wear hearing protection in my younger years plus I’ve always struggled with locating where sound is coming from.

New knee and ankle.
Knee is bone and bone currently with 0 cartilage left. Needs replaced they told me.
Ankle was fractured before. Has Arthritis and swells up like crazy after running.
But not stopping me yet.

Knees for sure. Pain in my wrists is getting worse. I’ve had problems with my knees for a long time, but it seems my wrists have began to deteriorate faster then my knees. Toss up between the two I guess.

Lungs. I inhaled too much of a stone sealer early in my construction career and haven't fully recovered. Suck in higher altitude.

I wish I wasnt built like a tank with short, thick legs.
Would prefer a leaner, long legged build.
I get to where I need to be, sloooowwwly.
Other than that, a slipped vertebrae in my back thanks to HS Football.

Messed up knees. Just born knock knee’d. Can’t run more than 3 miles 3 days per week or about 4 one hour mtn bike rides per week without a lot of pain. Fortunately they don’t tend to hurt while hiking and packing. Just makes cardio workouts suck plus I actually like running and I get bummed out that I can’t really do it much.

I’d fix the nerve issues in my hands and feet so they didn’t get so cold so easy. Didn’t really know it was as big of an issue until I sat in a treestand in Kansas one cold November.

Also I’m short and stocky. End up having to work hard to keep up with some of my long legged hunting partners.

Should we start a short guy thread?

I have worn glasses since middle school. I detest them in the rain and on cold days when they always seem to fog up when I think I am getting close to an animal.
