So in August of 2014, 1 Shot Gear had a drawing on Facebook for a Kifaru pack system. I entered and didn't think much of it (the odds on these kinds of drawings have to be horrible). Well, Friday afternoon I was messing around on Facebook and happened to open my filtered messages (ie "Spam" folder). To my horror I found this message from August 20, 2014 from a Kifaru employee (I removed his name)
"Cameron - This is (employee name) from Kifaru. You won the 1 SHOT GEAR giveaway. Please contact Grant at 1 Shot to give if your sizing info so we can make your bag for you. Congratulations on winning."
I quickly became nauseated. I went to 1Shot's Facebook page and scrolled to August 20, 2014 and sure enough I found this post:

Now I was really sick, I couldn't decide whether to throw up or cry. I usually see 1 Shot's posts but this was posted in the middle of the Utah archery hunt so I was on the mountain without service and didn't see it. Facebook didn't tag me in the post or anything so I didn't receive any other notifications, other than the filtered message from the Kifaru employee.
I sent them a message and am waiting for a reply. I have no idea what their statute of limitations will be, but it doesn't appear that they drew another winner so I am holding onto a slim sliver hope that I didn't totally miss out. If the statute of limitations has passed, maybe the karma gods will shine on me in some upcoming tag draws.
The moral of the story is to routinely check your spam messages!
