I have the 8k and love it. To me a kestrel is still needed. That is my backup if for some reason the sig craps out. I can take the atmospheric data from the kestrel and plug it into my shooter app on my phone. Normally my partner or guide has a RF as well so I get the distance from them and then my dope from my phone. Always good to have a backup to all this technology.
