Recently had some exposure to these and was mighty impressed, so giving serious thought to acquiring a pair of my own. These will be for all around use. Thinking 12x or 15x. Anyone have experience they can share????

It depends on what you want to use them for. But I personally dont think they replace quality optics on a tripod. A stable image isnt the same thing as an image that doesn't move (if that makes sense). It is hard to not be moving your binoculars and hold then perfectly in the same place. They are also heavy. So this becomes even harder. Trying to grid with them is not ideal.

The shape is different from classic binoculars, make sure you are happy with their ergonomic.

Where I think stabilized binos are awesome is when you are looking at a single known object or a small area, for a short duration.
