Well, I haven't been able to find any Retumbo and have now read that this might be a newer and better Retumbo. Temp stable, less copper fouling and more speed. Has anyone used it yet to validate those claims? I was going to try it in 264 Win as they say it it perfect for that, but also in the 7mm RM and 300 Winny. Any feedback so far?

I use IMR 8133 for my 300RUM. So far have had great luck with it. I tried because my supply of N570 was down to 2 pounds. I am loading 92grs of IMR 8133, pushing 215 Berger’s at 3140 FPS. At 200 yards was practically getting one hole groups. i really haven’t played much with retumbo. Have you checked out either RE26 or RE33

Have you guys tried H1000? Wondering if this is a better option

I haven't checked out RE26 or RE33. I had plenty of Retumbo until I realized I didn't.... I will look into those. I see a lot of comparisons with RE33 and 8133 to Retumbo.

CMA- I have tried H1000, it does well in the 300 Win Mag on the 180's for me, but I like the heavier bullets and doesn't get as much speed for me on the accurate loads.

IMR 8133 is a tad faster burning then N570 according to the burn chart I have. This Saturday I plan on spending quite a bit of time behind the trigger testing more loads with IMR 8133, N570 and RE33

Hard to beat H1000 for Consistency. But 570 is my favorite. But it's like unicorn balls.... rarely seen. haha

I'll look for the 570 and RE33 then. I have some 8133 showing up Monday to play with.

I know this post is a little dead, but I'm interested in the 8133 Vs n570. I bet my local place can get 570, and I know they have 8133.iplan on shooting 230 berger's or 200 cutting edge solids out of a 300 rum till I shoot it out, then rechamber to 338 edge. Would either work well in both cartridges? Consistency is key, of course, but I plan on shooting up to two miles with it, eventually. Maybe just 1.5

Both powers will work just fine. The 570 will be faster.

Don't be afraid of Reloder 33. I have not seen it to be incredibly temp sensitive at all. It is very close burn rate to N570.
The reason I mention RL33 is it's readily available...unlike N570 and Retumbo recently, and I can't get 8133 to shoot in anything.

Thanks, I will find a pound to try. I found a great load of 8133 in the 264, but nothing else. How would the reloader 33 work for a 300 Win Mag?

It might be an appropriate powder for 200gr and heavier in 300wm.
I would not use rl33 with lighter bullets. That will probably produce excessive muzzle blast and very dirty barrel.

I only run the 200 +, mine seem to like them better. I'll see if I can find some and try it.
