Index release material question

I’ve only ever had the Scott Mongoose release with metal shank. Was looking at trying a new release. Other than material is there any difference between the metal shank release option and releases that attach to wrist strap with the flat nylon material?

The NCS system (nylon strap) lets you micro adjust your release length, which is a very critical part to getting the fitment of an index finger release correct. Additionally, the NCS allows less torque on the D Loop as opposed to a rigid mount that your mongoose has. With the NCS you can also fold back your release and tuck it into your sleeve of your shirt if need be.
