Inserting photos onto a thread

Okay, I can figure out how to post photos onto a thread but how do you post a photo, then add text and them add another photo, more text, etc. I've got a pretty good story to tell and I'd like to post photos as I go along and tell the story.
I am technology challenged---my vcr still flashes "12:00"
Yeah, yeah, I know---whats a vcr??
