I have perennially cold feet due to poor circulation from low blood pressure. It is extremely hard for me to keep my feet, and particularly my toes, warm. In fact, I can't. Sometimes, they barely are warm in the morning when I get out of a down bag with insulated booties on; more often, they still are cold. So, I’m starting at a real disadvantage a lot of days.
I’ve tried a number of solutions with limited to no relief. I think it’s past time to go to a highly insulated gaiter. I know of two:
Mountain Tools Supergaiters
OR X-gaiter (recently re-introduced)
Feedback appreciated from anyone with experience with either of these gaiters, or a markedly similar product that I’ve missed. I don’t need “wear another pair of __ brand socks” advice, thanks. And, I need the gaiter to wear while moving, so “pull over” style thermal boots are useless and they don’t work well for me anyway.
Thanks for any input on this.
