I'm going on an archery hunt the first week of January in AZ and looking for a jacket for glassing. I'm considering these pieces:
First Lite Chamberlin (or comparable Kuiu, but I can get the FL for much less $$)
Sitka Kelvin Lite Down (discounted on Black Ovis)
Black Ovis Anchor Point (much cheaper, not DWR treated)
Kuiu just announced an Axis Thermal Hybrid jacket that looks appealing. It's pricey, but that seems like it tries to kill two birds with one stone.
In terms of outer wear, that I could use to layer, I have a Sitka Stratus and Kelvin Active jackets. I was thinking I could go with a lighter down puffy and layer the Sitka Stratus over it - but that might be a terrible idea. Then again, maybe I just go heavier with the Chamberlin, since eI tend to run cold.
Any recommendations?
Thanks!
