Hey all, I have an opportunity to buy this 4 row planter for $1400. Not sure what model number it is. Anyone got a guess? Also, does $1400 sound like a good price? It’s been used to plant a 3 acre corn field for several years, but that’s it. Been stored under a shed during that time. Thanks a lot!

Where's the fertilizer bins? Did it come with the plates? I think you paid to much.

I would say $900 would be plenty(imo) it’s not set up no-till and I think you can pick up something better or cheaper if you are patient. I think Yetter makes new units based off the old JD units Im not sure on the price though

I’d have to agree, too much. Around here, you can pull them out of a fence row for free.
It’s been stripped down for some reason. If it doesn’t come with plates, I’d pass. Plates are getting harder to find and you have to have the correct ones for every seed you want to plant.

The row centers look really tight to me. Im thinking someone monkeyed with it for something. No plates and no go for me. Even jn great shape I don't see it worth north of 1k.

I bought a ford two row for $250 several years ago. That's all you need unless your trying to do double digit acres. I'd of course like to find a 4 row, but I really don't find it to be necessary for anything food plot wise.

I can’t remember if the IH planter units use the same plates as the JD units but several years back I know there was a company that was making plates, if someone really needs some I have some extras
