Glad I didn't apply now and went a different route and decided to try for next fall. Zone 5 was going to our application zone

That's rather strange IMO. I drew zone 5 with 3 points, as you normally should I think. I have had plenty of other hunting to do and have been skating along on my 3 points for a while, but just this year found the property that I wanted to hunt so I pulled the trigger.

Well, at least you shouldn't have to worry about drawing next year.

That's very odd for zones 4 & 5. My 15yr old son Jake drew zone 4 late muzzy. After watching videos from our bow hunts, he's pretty stoked to get out there and throw some copper. Hope he can handle the sub 0 temps!!

5 and 9 (maybe a couple of others) have been at three points (archery) for a couple of years, looks like "point creep" may be hitting Iowa,,,,

I drew 9 this year, but I had 4 points going in to this draw,,,,

looks like zone 5 took a minimum of three (and not all with three drew) , with folks with 4 or more taking the rest.

the rest of the zones you had a chance with 2 points.
