Hunting is extremely popular here, Ireland has the highest percentage of hunters in Europe.
We have being hunting here for just over 33 thousand year now!

Very cool. I have always wanted to go to Ireland. Are these free range? Is there a website or is this a word of mouth thing

If you going to hunt in Ireland consider going Sika hunting, its hard hunting as in there tough secretive animals but we had a huge population.

Bagot goats are a branch of goat from England primarily with black head/neck white body. The Irish ibex are a completely different goat all together and have been native to Ireland dating back to the 16th century and earlier with a variety of colors ranging from white, black, multi colored and blue. Apparently there are 3 different breeds of the ibex on the island. Woodland, stone and the 3rd slipped my mind already. Our guides were showing us the DNA chains and are currently in the works with SCI to get them recognized as their own species in the books. Pretty cool to learn about them.

Goats are in Ireland since Neolithic times, Medals were dropped by CIC which is laughable considering you can shoot a English park stag and get a CIC medal but hunt a wild Irish goat recognized.

I’m Ireland they shoot the sheep, in Scotsman’s they…..well you know what happens to sheep in Scotland.

Only on special occasions with the daft modern variant, for metrosexual urbanites.
The traditional plaid, or great plaid isnt a dress but an adaptable woolen sheet or rug.
Soft nancys from the South call them togas and wear them in silk, or fine cotton, where as up North we just wear rough felted wool directly on our tally wakle.
