Darn Tough socks are the best socks that we have ever carried - No they do not have a cotton sock but the coolmax sock has no wool content.We like these for early season use (or in warm weather). If you have a low volume foot or want more padding buy the "full cushion" version and if you have a high volume foot or want less padding buy the "cushion" version.Socks are really important and make sure you read the labels for sock content.On one added note wash your socks inside out to rejuvenate the wicking loops.

I can't do synthetics. They make my hooves smell like the south end of a north bound skunk. I love wool but my feet boil in the summer with my Gore-Tex steel-toed work boots.
