I have a tikka tx 30-06 with the SWFA SS 6x in Sportsmatch rings. When I eject the cases rapidly (as in a follow up shot) the empty gets knocked back into the ejection port by the windage knob. I've moved the scope forward and backward to try to keep the knob out of the way, but I still get this issue. Is this a common issue? Are there any work arounds because the combo is lights out?

Not sure if it’s something you want to look into, but I recently had my T3 ejection port milled out about 0.2” so that it matches the height of a T3x port. I did it more for looks and slight weight reduction but it also top feeds easier now and will not have the issue you are talking about.

Or you could go with taller rings, a different scope with smaller windage knob or just buy a T3x...

Not often, but common enough to know about. Take the windage turret off. Shoot it. It that cures the issue, buy or send the windage turret to Shaen Rifles and have him mill the groves off for $15.

I had a similar issue when setting up the scope and cycling some empty brass, but after taking it out and shooting it I couldn't replicate the issue. This was on a 243. I would take Form's advice

My T3 300wsm with sportsmatch rings and 3-10 SHV does it every now and then. I just take the cap off when hunting and it’s fine.

Thanks everyone. It doesn’t do it when I remove the windage turret. I’ll look into getting it milled down like Form said. This gun scope combo is money except for that follow up shot. Haha
