Kentucky season rolled around and got to kill my first bird with a bow with no ground blind

After Kentucky the next stop was Ohio never ended up killing but came close and got to help my buddies nephew kill this one

after Ohio I made a trip back to Kentucky to fill my last tag

Back in Ga my best friend had been struggling to kill this bird and one rainy day I went to help which ended up being a lot of crawling but we got it done. I never filled my last Ga tag I ended up missing a chip shot on a bird

I miss turkey season! Man it was a tough one this year. I never got it done on the public ground I hunt but I did manage to get a couple birds on a private piece. Turkey hunting is my favorite. This was my first triple beard bird and I didn’t even know it until I grabbed him up by the neck and accidentally pulled all three beards off.

Well at least your just missing turkey season a little. I missed the enrire season as all my spots were closed to travel because of the virus. I usually travel to 4 or 5 staes and one province so talk about going cold turkey (forgive the pun) for a season lol
Congrats on your season this is the first year in a long time with no blood on my rear pants pockets :(

First year I hunted I hung around the Wyoming, Montana , South Dakota borders hunting public I found Montana tuff as for some reason there were a lot of spring turkey hunters where I went. Then one day I ran into a rancher on the hiway and got talking he said I have lots of turkeys around if you want to hunt them just pay me a tresspass fee if you kill one. I have been going there every spring since. I see that there is lots of BLM land that might hold birds now but so far I haven't had to leave the private paradise lol
I hunted public land down in Georgia a couple seasons several years ago and that was tough I bet you could get on birds on Montana public if you can get on them in Georgia lol

When I hunted Kansas and Nebraska last year it was like a vacation compared to hunting them in Ga haha I’m just not used to hearing them gobble so much and all through out the day
