I have an older pair of goretex 400g insulated Cabelas Kangaroo wing shooter boots. (Very similar to Brownings) Had them for 20+ years, bought for pheasant hunting. My favorite boot, mock toe, very lightweight and comfortable, wear for everything. Despite my preservation efforts, uppers are scarred and soles are wearing out. Still fairly waterproof, however, not sure if they are worth salvaging.

As far as I know, only Orvis $400 and LL Bean $250 currently offer boots in Kangaroo. Mixed reviews on them, wondering if anyone has experience with them. That or viable alternatives? Criteria being (goretex- waterproof, light weight, insulated, mock toe) No mountain hiking or anything, need warmth down to freezing.

If the uppers are just scarred, but still intact, you might look into having them re-soled.
