Kennetrek Gaiter sizing?

I bought a set of used XL camo Kennetrek gaiters off another forum. Guy was selling them pretty cheap so I took a chance. My buddy has a pair and I really like how quiet that are. My old OR's are getting pretty beat up after 5 years and the velcro is coming unstitched so figured I'd get these to replace mine.
The ones I bought are XL. Website claims they are sized for 13-15 boots. I'm a 12 with pretty big calves. You think they'll be too big or should fit alright?

I have the large and wear 10.5 and thought about going to the xl so i think you will be good to go

I wear size 11 in Lowa Tibets and the large fits me perfectly.
