I’m looking to plan a trip to hunt Kentucky this fall. I’ve never hunted and wanted some general direction on what public lands to hit. Not asking for your spot just a place to start. I’ve read a little bit about Daniel Boone National Forrest and Peabody WMA. Anyone have any other suggestions or suggestions about the places I mentioned. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I am heading down to Veterans Memorial WMA this summer to do some scouting. Never been there but it’s a pretty easy drive from where I live in Ohio. I have been to Clay WMA and Yellowbank WMA and saw deer every time. Never was successful.

Peabody was one of the toughest deer hunts I’ve ever been on. But it was for the archery opener.

They kill giants on dbnf every year. It's huge but if you're willing to walk you can find some awesome hunting. Good luck
