Anyone use these knives? Quality durability do they hold edges. Does the skeleton shape have a advantage

I have had them both now for about 3 or 4 years and yes they hold an edge well. A lot of folks paracord the handles because they like a bigger grip, but I’m not a fan. The paracord just gets bloody/greasy with fat etc., and is too big of a mess in the field IMO.

Does the shape of the skeleton create a advantage or is that a gimmick? I was going to carry a tyto and use the skeleton for more aggressive cutting on larger game

I was referring to the blade shape. It seems instead of long and slender it's more short and fat

I own both a handled Ovis hunter and muflon. If I were to do it all again the Ovis is a do it all blade shape. S30V is good enough to handle a whole animal if you have it sharp enough and aren’t stupid with the edge. I’m currently waiting for a mountain caper and scalpel.
