Do you guys run the straps from the belt to the frame or bag?

I've watched a ton of youtube videos and have seen it both ways...

Bag unless I'm running without one. They are designed to stabilize the load and that is most effective farther out and on the bag it actually aids in load stabilizing instead on just the frame.

Also, if running a 22 Mag on a 26" frame I run it to the frame because it creates an awkward angle.

To double up on your 22 mag comment, I think 92xj ran to the frame with a 26" running a woodsman. He has a thread on here with his setup. All that to say, apparently depends on the bag.
