I am in the market for a new shelter system that I will be using with the stove. I have read lots of feedback on both these systems but want to see if any new information on either ya developed since the season. Anyone have direct experience with both systems - quality, design, space etc. I’m assuming I’ll be running this 2-3 hunters at a time but 2 more so. Any feedback is great. Thanks in advance all

I've got the sawtooth and the SO 8 man, a hunting buddy has the SO 6 man.
If you want 3 hunters plus a stove, go with the 6 or 8 man.

The Sawtooth is awesome for one or two dudes, plus stove and gear. It'll fit 3 dudes and some gear without the stove.

Both withstand heavy winds, both are well constructed, both are simple to set up. The Tipi seems to have a bit of wasted space near the edges, by the nature of the design. Either way, a liner is a good idea.

Get the six man.
I have a sawtooth and had a 6 man from seekoutside for a year more space in the six man.I found the tipi style performed better with snow loads vs the Sawtooth.

Sawtooth is lightweight and pack down smaller.I am solo or with a buddy most of the time so sawtooth is my primary.

I think it comes down to what you want to do with it. I’ve owned the sawtooth for years and I’ve spent some time in my friend’s 6 man seek outside. If I was mostly packing in solo or with one other person, I’d go with the sawtooth due to weight and footprint. We’ve slept 3 in the sawtooth on a few occasions for a night or two. Very tight! But doable for some. If I was doing a lot more car camping or had predetermined camp spots picked out with 3+ people, the 6 man gets the nod. Depending on your situation, I’d opt for a sawtooth and eventually add something that’s more roomy when car camping or additional people.

Either way, you can’t go wrong with either company.

I went with the 6man tipi for the extra headroom and the classical tipi shape that I like. The redcliff should give you more vertical walls though. Rally a personal choice on what you'd prefer though.

Following. Getting ready to sell my 12x12 wall tent. It is a PITA to set up solo, heavy and bulky to store. When we do truck camp I bring our RV. We use the wall tent when we want to go where towing is not possible. But these new light weight materials and ease of set up has me thinking about mixing it up.
