I'm curious to see what everyone uses and keeps in their kill kits. I'll be doing some back country hiking and hunting for whitetails but I'm going to cut and de-bone them in the woods. Just curious what some of yall pack. Thanks

I hunt whitetails far enough from the truck/road that dragging isn’t an option sometimes. I gut/skin and quarter but don’t debone. I am usually taking out:

1 bag with 2x front shoulders and legs
2 bags with 1x hind legs
1 bag with 2x ribs and neck
1 bag with back straps, tenderloins, heart liver, odds and ends

Depending on the size of the deer that is 1 heavy load or 2 medium loads.

So I carry:

5-6 tag game bags of various sizes
One contractor bag (sometimes I put game bag in it to keep blood off pack)
2 gallon zip locks for organs and scraps
50 feet of reflective paracord
3x pairs gloves
A havalon and blades
Small zip ties for tags
4-6 single wet wipes

Elsewhere in my pack or pockets I have
Marking tape and reflective twist ties for trailing
Leatherman for small saw for pelvis and sternum
Fixed blad knife
Pen and tags

I prefer to gut on the ground and skin and quarter hanging so I also carry a pulley system sometimes but not on longer trips.

My basic kill kit:
* Havalon with a few spare blades
* 2-3 game bags
* Small plastic sheet
* 1 pair nitrile gloves

I'll adjust depending on the target animal.

There are other items that are in my pack so they are excluded. This includes butt wipes, GPS, mini multi-tool (blade swapping), etc.

Window shrink film? Can you give me an idea of what version, size, you use. Great idea, never occurred to me there was an ultralight way to do this.

TAG BOMB game bags
25 feet of dyneema cord
Lightweight knife
10' of reflective flagging
Game tag/license

I vac seal the game bags, cord, and flagging to keep the size tiny.
